I'm Laurie, and I love talking about challenging behaviour and setting personal goals that make you feel your BEST!!
Professionally, I am a teacher, educator and coach who specializes in autism and behaviour change at home, school and the workplace. I have been humbly described as inspirational, engaging and have transformed lives with my coaching. My workshops provide practical strategies that are supported by research that parents, educators and employers can use immediately to see behaviour change.
I am available for consultation, training and professional development to individuals, families or companies who are looking to increase productivity and do something different!!
On a more personal note, I am a wife, mother of two amazing boys, a teacher, entrepreneur and have been working in the field of Autism and Special Education for over 23 years. It is more than a passion of mine, it has become a part of who I am and the reason I parent the way that I do. I have worked in both clinical and educational settings my whole career and understand the struggles that come with not understanding why someone is thinking and behaving the way that they do. I can help with that. I UNDERSTAND that. I have strategies for that. Let's get to know one another!

Functions of Behaviour - Speaking the same language

understanding the science behind challenging behaviour and what to do about it​. Participants will receive a 1 hour, 2 hour or 5 hour workshop. This one is interactive and everyone will receive practical startegies they can try immediately. Great for large groups or education departments.

Universal Supports - Good Teaching Strategies

These are all of the strategies and planning we put into place before an event to ensure that everyone is successful. This can be used in the home, corporate workplace or classroom. There are 7 Universal Supports that ​support positive outcomes.

Data Collection and Analysis

How to use data appropriately and meaningfully!! We will explore three different methods of collecting behavioural data and show how we can use it to make change in the environment immediately.

Intro to Autism Spectrum Disorder

A beginner's understanding of the characteritics of ASD and proven strategies that work. How to create structure and predictability in the home, classroom and workplace.​

Applied Behaviour Analysis

participants will learn about the 6 components of ABA. Applying a strategy based on the function of behaviour, analyzing the results and following a plan. Knowledge of functions is recommended.​
